Seal Cove 1884 Census
According to the 1884 census there were 117 inhabitants of Seal Cove. All were Church of England faith. There were twenty married males and twenty-one families living in the community. Twenty-one persons were occupied in the catching and curing of fish, while four were classified as farmers.
