This area at the top of Rattley Row is known for it's contribution to the ranks of the clergy. It is the birthplace of not only Bishop Meaden, but of Reverend Munden Bishop and Reverend William Barnes, as well as the growing up place of Reverend Cecil Webber. A high rock-foundation wall still in existence is all that remains today of the house where Reverend Munden Bishop was born. His parents moved from Burnt Head and settled here. Years later, Reverend Bishop, having no further use for the property, gave it as a gift to Robert Gushue.
The house now owned by Vina (Spracklin) Ivany {1998} and which for a considerable time earlier was the residence of William George Gushue, J.P. , was originally the home of the Barnes family. This was the birthplace of Reverend William Barnes.

(The Reverand William Barnes mentioned here is my Uncle Billy. He was my grandmother's brother. SL)
